Our FAQs should answer any questions you might have, but if you can’t find the answer to your query below please do not hesitate to get in touch.

1. What areas do you cover? 

We cover the Exeter, east Devon, south Somerset and west Dorset areas. We are located in East Devon and offer free delivery and set up within a 15-mile radius of EX10.
We are happy to travel further afield for an additional cost to cover time and travel.

2. How big are the tents?

Size of an assembled tent is -
W 100cm x L 110 cm x H 110cm. 

3. What is the hire period?

For weddings and parties, the hire period is 3 hours or 1 night (extra nights can be arranged subject to availability). Everything included in the package will be delivered and set up on the day of the party / wedding and then packed away and collected. When you place your booking, we will discuss a convenient time for delivery, set up and collection.
School packages are for a half / whole day (bespoke packages are available for  longer periods e.g. book week. 

Can the tents be used outside?

Unfortunately not. The tents are not suitable for outdoor use. However, if you are able to ensure adequate floor and overhead cover and protection to guarantee all equipment remains dry e.g. under a canopy, or in a marquee or gazebo, we would consider this option and reflect any agreement on the booking form. Any agreement would be subject to weather conditions. 

Are the tents cleaned?

The tent covers are all removeable and washable. All loose items are laundered in non-bio detergent and other items disinfected as required. 

Do I need a power supply?

No our fairy lights and light boxes are all battery operated.
The tents must not be located to an open flame such as candles, open fires, gas fires or any source of flammable substance.

What happens if something gets damaged? 

We take great care in sourcing the best possible equipment. whilst we are aware that accidents do happen, and some items ay get damaged, we will need to charge for a replacement. So please inform us of any damage caused which will only be charged at the cost of replacing the item.  Please read our terms and conditions for more information on this. 

Do we have insurance

Yes we have public liability insurance.

Is there an age bracket?

Our story tents are aimed at use by early years and primary aged children. 

Can children eat food in the tents?

For schools, children may enjoy eating their healthy snack during story time in the tents.
For parties and weddings, we ask that any food or drink consumed around the tents only includes light snacks and light coloured beverages. Please be  aware that items such as chewing gum, make up, nail varnish, face paint, any greasy or messy food items are likely to stain and and an additional charge will be made for any stains that cannot be removed.
